Robby Ketchell has worked at the forefront of coaching, sports technology and data sciences for a decade. He was the Chief Data Scientist for Team Sky (he just helped Sky win its fourth Tour de France). Prior to Team Sky, Ketchell served as the Director of Science and Technology for Garmin-Sharp Pro Cycling, where he was known as the ‘secret weapon‘ for the number of innovations he brought to the sport. Ketchell owns a technology company in Portsmouth, NH, and it is there that he has developed technology for a number of professional sports including the NFL, NBA, Triathlon, and Professional Cycling. Among his many technological achievements, Ketchell is the creator of the fastest speed suit in the world, the BAT Box (the world’s first on-board measuring device to replace a wind tunnel) and Platypus (cycling’s first big data analytics tool). Ketchell has helped coach professional cyclists to wins at the Giro d’Italia, Paris-Roubaix, Tour de France, and the World Championships.
