Our indoor cycling training plan has advanced aerobic endurance and variable power workouts (like Sweet Spot to help the time pass quicker and give you more ‘training’ out of your time on the trainer! All the workouts are geared towards you riding indoors on the trainer and therefore are mainly 1 hour in length. Get on, get to work and get off! The one other workout on the weekend is a freestyle sweet spot ride to help your generate some body heat to battle the cold but most importantly get the most training out of your limited time. This indoor cycling training plan definitely caters to the “time-crunched” athlete.
All the workouts in this plan can be exported to your Garmin and most indoor training apps, like Zwift. This is all made possible with TrainingPeaks’ January 2017 export feature. Speaking of Zwift, (it’s awesome: fun and productive), this plan coaches you how to benefit from training on Zwift in a way that is incredibly fun and productive.
This plan starts gradually with tempo workouts, progresses thru harder sweet spot and threshold intervals and finishes with crisscrosses, bursts, and short anaerobic intervals. You’ll perform a field test in week 4 to set your FTP (threshold) and update your training zones.

Ted K –
Really great offseason plan that focuses on SST, flexibility and strength. The yoga and body weight sessions were well integrated, and the week-over-week buildup delivered results. M-F workouts were right around an hour, which is great for Dad duty. And FasCat support was prompt helpful and kind when I needed them. A+!

Thanks for the positive feedback Ted! We’re so happy to hear you enjoyed the plan & that it was easy for our parents out there to #FtFP.

This was fun and effective. The intervals really mix it up and make the time pass quickly, even without zwift etc. My FTP got a nice bump. Other fascat content such as the podcasts is also excellent.

This was excellent. At this time of year I find myself on the trainer a lot. The outdoor Sunday rides worked well for me early in the program. One thing that really stood out to me was the fact that all of the times of a prescribed workout (intervals, recoveries, etc.) all added up. (I’ve completed other plans from other coaches where the numbers did not add up.)
