For immediate release
BOULDER, Colo. (November 3, 2026) FasCat Coaching, maker of the CoachCat AI coaching platform, has been named AI Research and Development Partner of CANYON//SRAM, the UCI Women’s WorldTour team, for the remainder of 2026. As the team plans for 2027, FasCat will deliver proprietary AI-powered season reviews for select riders chosen by the team’s performance staff.
What an AI R&D partnership is
Pro teams and riders have large multi-year datasets that are rarely looked at as a whole. CoachCat analyzes a rider’s complete history, often five or more seasons, and pulls out the insights like a needle in a haystack: which training blocks produced the biggest gains, where fitness plateaued, correlations between heat and altitude blocks, and what the rider was doing before her best results. Plus sleep and HRV data to know if the athlete is recovering or not. It then cross-references those patterns against current performance to predict what the rider can achieve and advises the performance staff on what is working, what is not, and how to train for 2027. FasCat calls the method Analyze, Predict, Prescribe.
Case in point
Before this summer’s Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, FasCat analyzed the team’s historical rider data and predicted power outputs for the decisive stages, including Mont Ventoux and the Col d’Èze. The race data then validated the predictions and sharpened the model, which now points to the biggest opportunities in training and preparation for 2027.
“WorldTour teams are sitting on a wealth of untapped data that could tell them exactly why a rider won or lost, and what to change. CoachCat finds that in minutes, not months. Working with CANYON//SRAM lets us prove at the highest level of the sport what our AI does every day for the athletes on our platform.”
“We are always looking for new ways to understand performance, and AI analysis of a rider’s full history is a natural next step. FasCat’s AI analytics give our performance staff a fresh, objective look at what has driven each rider’s best results and where we can build for 2027. We have enjoyed exploring this together.”
