This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how billing, cancellation, and refunds work for the CoachCat app and the other services sold by FasCat Digital Fitness, PBC (“FasCat”, “we”, “us”). It is part of our Terms of Service. If anything here conflicts with the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service control.
The short version
- Subscriptions renew automatically, monthly or annually, until you cancel.
- Cancelling is your responsibility. You can cancel anytime, in about a minute, and we never require a phone call.
- When you cancel you keep access through the end of the period you already paid for, and there are no further charges.
- Payments are non-refundable. We do not refund a charge that happened because a subscription was not cancelled before it renewed.
- The one exception is our 6-Week Improvement Guarantee, which has its own conditions.
- If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, Apple or Google controls that billing and any refund. We do not.

1. Free trial
New CoachCat athletes get a free week. No credit card is required to start, so a trial never turns into a charge on its own. When your free week ends, you choose whether to continue by adding a payment method and picking a monthly or annual plan.
If a promotion or special offer ever asks for a payment method up front, the paid subscription starts automatically when the trial period ends unless you cancel before then. Cancel before the trial ends and you will not be charged.
2. Subscriptions and automatic renewal
CoachCat is sold as a recurring subscription:
- Monthly plans renew every month on your billing date.
- Annual plans renew every 12 months on your billing date.
Each renewal is charged in advance to the payment method on file, at the price shown when you subscribed, plus any applicable taxes. Your subscription keeps renewing until you cancel it. We do not send a separate bill or ask for permission before each renewal, so if you do not want the next period, cancel before your billing date.
Your plan and next billing date are shown in your account settings in the app.
3. Cancelling your subscription
It is your responsibility to cancel. We make it easy and we will help if you get stuck, but we cannot cancel for you unless you ask, and we cannot undo a renewal that happened because a subscription was still active on the billing date.
How to cancel
- Subscribed on our website or in the app with a card: open CoachCat, go to your account settings, and follow the Manage Subscription steps to cancel. You will see an on-screen confirmation when it is done.
- Subscribed through the Apple App Store: cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings (Settings, your name, Subscriptions on an iPhone). Apple manages that billing, and only Apple can stop it. We have no control over App Store subscriptions.
- Subscribed through Google Play: cancel in the Google Play app under Payments and subscriptions. Google manages that billing, and only Google can stop it. We have no control over Google Play subscriptions.
- Cannot find it or need a hand: contact us before your billing date and we will cancel for you. A cancellation request is effective on the date we receive it, not before.
What cancelling does
- Cancellation stops future renewals. It does not shorten the period you already paid for.
- You keep full access to CoachCat until the end of your current billing period. After that, your paid access ends.
- You are welcome back any time. Resubscribe whenever you are ready to train again.
What does not count as cancelling
- Deleting the CoachCat app from your phone.
- Not opening the app, skipping workouts, or stopping training.
- Deleting your FasCat account while a subscription is billed through Apple or Google. Cancel the store subscription first.
- Mentioning to a coach that you are thinking about stopping. If you want to cancel, use the steps above or contact support so there is a clear request on record.
- A declined card. We may retry the charge, and the subscription stays active until it is cancelled.
4. Refunds
All payments to FasCat are final and non-refundable, consistent with our Terms of Service. In particular, we do not issue refunds or credits for:
- A renewal that was charged because the subscription was not cancelled before the billing date, including when you forgot, meant to cancel, or did not notice the renewal.
- The unused part of a monthly or annual period after you cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period so that you get the time you paid for.
- Time you did not use the app because you were injured, travelling, or otherwise not training.
- Switching from an annual plan to a monthly plan before the annual period ends.
- Promotional pricing that ends on the schedule stated in the offer.
We apply this policy the same way to every athlete. It is stated here, in the Terms of Service you accept when you subscribe, and at checkout, so there are no surprises.
Exceptions
- 6-Week Improvement Guarantee. See section 5.
- Billing errors on charges we process. If we charged you twice for the same period, charged the wrong amount, or kept charging after you cancelled through the steps above, contact us within 60 days of the charge and we will correct it. This does not apply to charges processed by Apple or Google, which only they can correct.
- Where the law requires it. Consumer protection laws in some places give you rights this policy cannot take away. Where applicable law requires a refund, we will provide it.
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method and usually appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
5. The 6-Week Improvement Guarantee
We stand behind the training. Train with CoachCat, follow your plan for six weeks, and if you do not get faster we refund your money in full and get you on a 30-minute call with a FasCat coach to figure out why. To qualify, send us a screenshot of your CoachCat consistency calendar showing 80 percent or more completed (green) days across the six weeks. The full conditions are on the guarantee page, and those conditions control.
Other than the exceptions in section 4, the guarantee is the only basis on which we refund a subscription payment.
6. Subscriptions billed by Apple or Google
If you subscribed inside the iOS or Android app, Apple or Google processes the payment, not FasCat. We do not control the App Store or Google Play policies, billing, or refunds, and we cannot override them:
- Cancel through your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings. Cancelling with us or deleting your account does not stop a store subscription, because we have no access to it.
- Refund requests go to Apple or Google and are decided under their refund policies, not ours. We have no control over whether a store refund is approved, and we cannot refund a charge the stores processed.
- Charges, renewal dates, and receipts for store purchases come from Apple or Google. If a store charge looks wrong, raise it with them directly.
7. Price changes
We may change subscription prices. We will notify you before a new price applies to your renewal. If you do not agree with the new price, cancel before your billing date and you will not be charged it.
8. Switching plans
You can switch between monthly and annual plans in your account settings. Switching from monthly to annual starts a new annual period right away. Switching from annual to monthly takes effect at the end of your current annual period. We do not prorate or refund the difference between plans.
9. One-on-one coaching
Coaching tiers are monthly subscriptions and follow the same rules as above: they renew monthly, you can cancel anytime before your billing date, and fees already paid are not refundable. Your coach plans your training in advance, so please let them know when you decide to stop. The cancellation itself works the same way as described in section 3.
10. Gift cards
CoachCat gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. They never expire and can be redeemed once. Once a gift card has been redeemed, the CoachCat time it provides cannot be refunded or transferred to another account.
11. Camps, events, and other purchases
Training camps, guaranteed race entries, and other one-time purchases have their own cancellation terms, shown on the page where you buy them and in your confirmation. Where those terms differ from this policy, they apply instead.
12. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us first. We resolve billing problems quickly. Disputing a legitimate charge with your bank instead of contacting us may result in suspension of your account while the dispute is open, and you remain responsible for the amount owed.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here, and the date at the top reflects the latest version. Changes do not apply retroactively to a payment made before the change.
