With UAE controlling the field, the GC favorites held back on the final climb and Pogačar didn't go full gas until the final 250 m.
From Strava: the front group climbed the final 1.6 km at 6.6% in 3:28 (VAM 1,916 m/h), which pencils out to ~7.1 W/kg at ~450 W. That beat our predicted ~4 minutes but came in under our 8.23 W/kg: at 1,650 m altitude and with UAE controlling until the sprint, the climb was a leadout, not a max effort. Ramses Debruyne's power meter (417 W for his 4:06 ascent) validates our model within 1%.
We timed the video replay: Pogačar's winning sprint over the final 250 m took 19.68 seconds at 45.7 km/h, or roughly 1,000 W and 15 W/kg.
