CoachCat just got a serious upgrade across plans, scheduling, and race prep. Here’s what changed for your training — no jargon, just what you’ll notice the next time you open the app and ask.
Six upgrades you’ll feel
Get the exact plan you ask for
Name a plan — like Sweet Spot Part 4 — and CoachCat puts that plan on your calendar, not a close-enough stand-in. Not sure of the name? It searches the library and helps you land on the right one.
Plans built around your goal, not a template
Tell CoachCat what you’re chasing and it builds the full lead-up — base, build, and taper — timed to the day. New goals are covered too: off-season base, a cycling trip or camp, or simply out-riding your group. It even factors in how much climbing the goal demands.
Your training days, respected
Say “I can’t ride Sundays” and CoachCat keeps that — even if you skip the weekly-hours question. And if what you tell it differs from your saved schedule, it points that out and lets you choose: update your default, or just this once.
Straight talk on strength work
CoachCat only tells you weights are in your plan when they actually are — and it won’t cram a strength block into a race that’s too close. When there’s no room, it points you to year-round Strength Maintenance instead.
The plan you approve is the plan you get
Approve a plan and the exact one you saw lands on your calendar — confirmed before anything is applied, with no behind-the-scenes recalculating, even if you take a day to decide.
Taper and rest weeks, done right
CoachCat now knows the difference between a pre-race taper and a recovery week. It builds you a proper opener workout the day before your event to wake the legs up, and puts your races on the calendar cleanly — instead of inventing intervals for an all-out effort.
It’s all live now
Every one of these is already in the app — there’s nothing to turn on. Open CoachCat, tell it what you’re training for, and see the difference for yourself. Open CoachCat or learn more about CoachCat.
