FAQs

Can I still train full-time during the day?

Yes: full-time salaried coaches may work in the morning and/or after their ride as long as they:

  • Fulfill 8 hours of coaching work per day
  • Maintain availability for athletes to schedule calls
  • Are mentally able to get all their work completed
  • Attend company and co-worker meetings during normal business hours

Part-time contractor coaches have more flexibility but they still need to maintain availability during normal business hours for athletes and attend company meetings.

Do I need to be able to analyze data?

💯. You will analyze power and heart rate data every day, and interpret wearable data from Whoop, Oura and Garmin, especially in Optimize.

Do you provide on the job training?

Yes, we have a weekly coaches workshop and you will have 1:1 sessions with our Coaching Education Director.

How much will I get paid?

That depends on how much you are willing to coach! For full-time positions, your starting salary depends on your experience and the number of athletes you can bring to the organization, both current and potential. We will work to attract athletes to hire you, and your salary will grow as you coach more athletes at higher coaching levels.

How to Apply

Candidates with the experience and background that meet or exceed ALL of the criteria above are encouraged to email frank at fascatcoaching dot com with 1) a resume, 2) references, and 3) a training tip sample (blog, video or podcast).

Short-Form Content Creator, Paid Social

FasCat Coaching helps cyclists get faster. We've spent 20+ years turning structured training into real watts for real riders, through CoachCat, our AI training app, and one-on-one work with human coaches. We're founder-led, remote-first, and we have a deep library to pull from: our founder and coaches on camera, athlete testimonials, product footage, and a growing library of labeled app screenshots and screen recordings.

We need a creator who can turn that library into short-form content that performs, on Meta first (Reels and in-feed), then repurposed across YouTube Shorts and beyond.

This is a making role, and we mean that as a compliment. We bring the hooks, the scripts, and the raw material. You bring the craft, the speed, and the instinct for what to say when the brief runs out.

What You'll Do

  • Ship roughly 12 ad concepts a month, each in 3 to 4 tested variations, so about 40-50 finished assets
  • Build a repeatable system, not one-off pieces: modular templates where B-roll, app screenshots, captions, and voiceover swap per script without rebuilding from scratch
  • Create deliberate variations of the same concept for testing: captions-only vs. founder voiceover, screen recording vs. B-roll, hook A vs. hook B
  • Work with app UI: screen recordings, device-framed screenshots, and callouts that make CoachCat legible in three seconds
  • Help direct our founder, coaches, and athletes on camera: what to say, how to frame it, what makes it worth watching
  • Turn one long-form YouTube segment into several distinct short-form cuts
  • Iterate fast on what the Meta performance data tells us, and kill what isn't working

You're Who We Want If You

  • Live in short-form performance content: hooks, retention, pattern interrupts, CTAs, not just pretty edits
  • Have made content that ran as paid social, not only organic. This one is not negotiable
  • Think in systems and templates, so asset number 40 takes a fraction of the time asset number 1 did
  • Are fluent with AI tools in your workflow and use them to go faster, not to go generic
  • Can give direction to on-camera talent, not just work with what's handed to you
  • Execute a brief cleanly, but push back or add ideas when the brief is thin

Cycling or endurance sports fluency is a bonus, not a requirement. Performance instinct beats domain knowledge here.

The Details

Contract, remote, with a monthly rate for a set number of videos. 90-day initial engagement with a clear path to renew and expand if it's working. We move fast and we're easy to work with.

How to Apply

  1. Send 2 to 3 examples of short-form content you've made that ran as paid social, plus a line on what each one was trying to do, to frank at fascatcoaching dot com
  2. If it's a fit, we'll start with one short test assignment from one of our scripts before either of us commits to anything

Portfolio-pretty reels with no performance context won't cut it. Show us work built to convert.

Engineering

We are hiring engineers in 2026 to build CoachCat, the AI cycling coach inside the FasCat app. CoachCat combines 20+ years of FasCat coaching knowledge with each athlete's training data to deliver personalized coaching at scale.

What You'll Work On

  • The FasCat app and CoachCat, our AI powered coach
  • Training data pipelines: power, heart rate and wearable data from Garmin, Whoop and Oura
  • Sports science algorithms: FTP detection, training load and recovery
  • AI features grounded in our coaching knowledge base, not internet-averaged advice

Requirements

  • You have shipped production software, full stack or mobile
  • Strong with Python and TypeScript; Rust experience is a plus
  • Experience building with LLMs and AI APIs is a big plus
  • Bonus points if you ride bikes and know what FTP means

Benefits

Small Team, Big ImpactShip features that thousands of cyclists train with every day.
Ride Your BikeMidday rides are encouraged. Test your own code on the road.
