Train for the Haute Route with FasCat and 2020 Haute Route Ambassador Frank Overton. The Haute Route is a monumental feat and your haute route training should should be well thought out.
This six week training plan is heavy on the climbing and stage race type training because that's what you'll face in any of the 3 or 7 day haute routes. The Alps, the Pyrenees, Asheville, or any of the 13 Haute Route events. Since the Haute Route is such a difficult event we recommend you complete our 18 Weeks of Sweet Spot Plan beforehand.
You'll progress your riding time to increase your Chronic Training Load (CTL). You’ll start with a field test will set your training zones, especially sweet spot! You’ll find the FasCat Wattage and Heart Rate Zones Sheet that in this plan that has the all important Sweet Spot Training Zone!
