How Do You Know if Your Training is Improving? #cyclingcoach

How do you know if your training is working or not? It's a great question and it's both objective and subjective. On one hand, you could see your numbers getting better. You could see that FTP increasing.

But that's not the only way to see if things are improving. Could be your 60-minute power, 3-hour power. Could be your 20-minut power after 3 hours. Could just be that your heart rate's lower.

And it could be subjective. Could be you feel better, you look better, body composition's better. Could be that you feel better on a group ride or a race. So, while I think we all want to focus on that magic 20-minute FTP, it's definitely not the only thing.

So, ask your coach, ask Coach Cat, and talk about different metrics that might mean you're getting better.
