So, as a coach, I generally have my athletes do the Festo 500 if it fits in with their training, the goal of their training, which many of them are sweet spotting right now. Even if they're lifting weights, we can pause the weightlifting and resume when the 500 is over. And it's so fun. It's so beneficial for you physiologically, especially if you're doing long races or stage races.
It's a really good bump in fitness as well. Great way to hit the new year fit, fast, ready to do more training. And by the math was 38.3 miles per day. The festive 500 hack is to do it on a a flat course with a robo pacer group.
That's guess what? Your sweet spot pace. Get in that group, draft, and achieve an average speed much higher than you could on your own. I mean, we're talking 23 to 28 miles per hour, depending on your your FTP.
Maybe even higher if you're Coach
